What people are saying about Safecrackers...

 Last Update; 14 Nov 2011

I received the Tapes today, and I must say that I saw great 5 hours of opening TL-15 ,TL-30, and Bank Vaults.  And all with inside views of the various openings.   Great Pictures in good Quality.   To everybody who likes to check it out:

Comments on your videos:  They are a must have for the serious safe tech.  The equipment used is top quality.  The methods used are easy to understand and not touted as the only way.   The video clarity is exceptional and done by a true seasoned professional.   Between you and me, this is what I think of the videos.

As President of the Maryland Locksmith Association I am always on the lookout for new additions to our ever growing library collection.  We recently purchased the Safecracker video set by Bob Stabley.  These video's are very well done.   The photography (or is it "videography") is excellent.  The content is interesting and educational to the beginner as well as the seasoned safe technician.
Bob mixes a bit of humor with the mounds of useful information.

There is a waiting list for members wanting to borrow the set.   We can't wait for the next volume!

I got three videos from Safecracker, one with tool information and two with a lot of safe openings.  These videos are very informative and describe in detail how to open safes, and the fiber optic scenes are very good and helpful.  I know from my own Safe Opening Video that it's a hell of a job to make video, and those are in very good quality.   There is only two negative things, too few High Security Safe Openings and to few key lock (this is an argument from a Swedish Safecracker) I really can recommend the videos.

I viewed the video's this weekend and really enjoyed them. Thank-you for sharing your expertise on safe opening.  I learned some cool techniques.  You have some amazing scopes, I own six scopes of different angle's and focal length.  I won two times expert division for safe manipulation at the Lockmasters contest's. I work independently for varies locksmiths, I liked your style of openings.  Well tank's again for your teaching.

I just received my demo tape and had a chance to review it.   It is about 25 minutes long with great video details.  They showed a few of the tools they will be using, and has a few clips from the five hour video set.  After watching it I knew I was going to purchase the set.  The only downside to the video were the teasers, but I guess that is why they called it a DEMO!

Bob, Just a note to let you know that I enjoyed the safe opening videos very much.   The color & optics were great.   Thanks for sharing them with us.   I'm really looking forward to the " X " rated that you spoke of, when is it coming out?

What a great reference source your tapes are from start to finish.    I like the way you show how the mistakes are made and how to avoid them.

I was so delighted this morning when the postman pressed my door bell.  The safe opening tapes are here but I had to rush off to my first job.  I looked forward to coming home early to see those tapes. Anyway, my wife saw them before I got home and said: "what a boring show, the man in the tape talks most of the time and the show is very slow, I had to forward it most of the time." I told her: "these tapes are not for you."   Go watch those cartoon with my baby.  I watched all the tapes in a row till 3am in the morning  and I love them.  Now I understand how to use my mini rig better, and those diamond cores.   My wife now knows who you are.  Your are  the one who can make a thousand dollars in opening a single safe and are willing to share information with other Safe Techs.

I just received the videos from Bob Stabley and they are well worth the money. I've opened a lot of the safes on the videos already but just watching him on the tapes is still a learning experience. If your just starting out it cant be beat.

Dear Bob, I am writing to you with my gratitude in response to your prompt handling of the replacement of some volumes of video tapes on which I demanded to do so because of the damages on them, which might have been caused in the process of shipment. Despite the fact that I have the limited proficiency in the aural comprehension of your language, the contents of your instruction videos have provided me with a lot of food for thought and have been instructive and enlightening to me.  In our country, Japan, I don't think it would be possible for us to come by the video like yours.  Especially, I am very impressed with the quality of the tools you have used in the video.  They are certainly indicative of your expertise and the excellent skills you have.  These videos should be the treasure for every "safecracker."

Bob, Just a quick note to let you know I did receive the video's. Thanks!!   I almost missed our association meeting Friday evening I was so engrossed in the introduction.  The Video's are great.  The views are exceptional and just what I was looking for.  I have been through the set once and am starting a second time.  Again, Thanks for the tapes.  I am even more anxious to get Vol. 2.  Should be later this year.

Bob Just a few lines to let you know I watched all your Safecracker Video's. There are a lot of books out on safe openings, but seeing it done is a lot better. The one thing I've never seen before is when you cut the hardplate out of the Diebold lug door. Unreal!!

Bob- I watched all of volume one in one day. I now have knowledge which took you an entire career to acquire. Should I feel guilty about that? Seriously, excellent job on the tapes! Thanks for going the extra mile to share your experience with the industry. The technology you used to show us exactly what you see is awesome. You covered the "how to" part without leaving out the "why" part. Safe man without these tapes are missing a gold mine.

Dear Bob: Great job on the Safe Cracker series of tapes. You provide a tremendous amount of knowledge for the beginner or experienced technician. All dogs, new and old can learn new tricks, and these tapes are loaded with them. Looking forward to the next addition. Keep up the good work. Best Regards,

Thanks Bob!! I viewed your safecrackers introduction video Volume I ~ parts 1 and 2 and your new Volume II Electronics Safe Locks. Not having come across all the electronic safe locks shown on your video's yet, it was great to have them as a source of information along with some of the new ways you have found to defeat them. The high-tech equipment and the knowledge that you have made available makes me think back thirty years ago and how hard we worked to accomplish what you now do on your videos in just minutes. Drill points ~ equipment ~ knowledge ~ you have provided access to all of it!

Bob; Just finished watching Vol. 1 of your video's. They are excellent! Well made, with plenty of attention to detail. I like the informal, and sometimes humorous narration. It's good to see that I'm not the only one who makes mistakes! Whether one is a novice, journeyman or expert safe man, there is plenty of good, useful information here. Certainly a MUST for any safe man's reference library. Looking forward to future volumes......!

A Casey's store called late in the day Friday about 70 miles East of me.  This is not one of my normal Casey's I service but someone tried to drill this safe and after two days gave up.  The manager told me they were told to get someone with a jack hammer because the bolts were drilled off and it would not open.  Here is what I found,  10 holes. None of the center holes penetrated the hard plate.  The hardplate had a shiny spots but no holes.  You can still se one bolt in the hole.  It looks like they drilled into the bolt and it went off to one side.  There is a small hole also in the bolt ???  Tried  to push it inward or something.  I used one of Bob Stabley's punches and it was gone.  I added one more hole in between the group of three holes  and it was opened.  I just wonder what they were charged for the first job.  Thank you Bob Stabley for all the great tools and Strong Arm for the great drill bits.

The right tool makes the job easier...

Howdy,

Yep Bob makes good stuff.  I like his punches very much.

Have you ever seen his Toe Jack ?  They are a real labor saver,  He has done a few things to them to make then even better.  I just got my third one with nice improvements.  I can't imagine moving a safe without one of them.

I am getting one of his moose bars, I really look forward to getting it and putting it to work.

I really like his Vac plate, it is real good tool.  I use it with my magnetic drill press.  He was telling me about an attachment that will do angle drilling .

Jeff, have a great week.

Kind regards always,

I just finished five hours of the Safecrackers videos.  Two thumbs up to Safecrackers for producing an excellent video, both in quality and content!  Hope the rest of you have enjoyed it as much as I have. Happy safe openings.
